Day 217: Turner created a treasure box for his kids in which they put in anything they find outside while playing during the day. He keeps it as a center piece on the dining table. The purpose of that box is to teach his children that anything can have value if we give it. It also serves as a conversation piece during family meals, the children have to explain why they found the objects found that day interesting. Up until now the kids found all kinds of beads, paper clips, hair ties, coins, flowers, weird shaped leaves, an AA battery, a friendship bracelet, a silver spoon, a broken pot, a belt buckle, an earring, and a few other things.
